Welcome Back!We are off to a great start to school! The children have settled in to the routines of the day, and are really starting to focus on mastering the first early skills of Kindergarten. We are reading and writing each day!
One adjustment that some children are struggling with is that of writing their names "the school way." This would be a good thing to practice at home. Your child should write his/her name with an upper case letter only for the first letter, and the rest should be lower case letters. Please refer to the handwriting guide that was given out at Orientation if you are unsure how your child is being taught to form the letters. One key thing to remember is that we always "start our letters at the top." Please remember to send your child with a small, healthy snack each day. Also, please dress your child appropriately for outdoor play as well as for a very chilly classroom...layers are best! Thank you for all that you are already doing to support your child's school success! Discussion Topics Files
